World Series, Football, and the Drought

So, I am going to try to update more than once every 6 months. We'll see how that works.

Anyway, so the Colorado Rockies get hot, win 21 of 22, and then have to wait 8 days to play the surging Boston Red Sox, who had won a measly 3 straight. And then, blink and you miss it, the Red Sox are the world champs for the second time in 3 years. This team has now won 8 consecutive World Series games. How's that for dominance.

Meanwhile, my Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are doing their best to languish in mediocrity. Here's hoping we can get hot and stay hot.

And, pro football. You know, the Colts are every bit as good as the Patriots, but why do the Pats get all the attention this year? Is it because of Bill Belichek's "little-man" complex he's got going on? I mean, leading 38-0, at home against the Redskins, with 10 minutes to play, and Brady's still in the game throwing touchdown passes? That is the opposite of class.

In case you missed it, we are in the middle of a record breaking drought here in Georgia. This is due to small amounts of rain, and the fact that the Army Corps of Engineers are idiots. Over 2x the amount of water coming into Lakes Lanier and Allatoona are being pumped out to mussels in South Alabama and Florida. I'm sorry, but my water needs trump that of some freaking mussels in another state. Get your own freaking water. Maybe try some desalinization techniques.

I shall step off of my soapbox now.

Friday, September 14, 2007 much for updating...

Yeah, so it's been a while. Well, since my last post, my son was born. Being a dad is cool, but time consuming. My guitar playing time has seriously dwindled, but it is all good, because one day he'll be old enough for dad to teach him a few things...I hope.

Life's good, but it sure is busy.
